I cannot contain my excitement! Something I wrote was featured on a major platform. Who would have thunk it? I’m just a girl from the MidWest whose thoughts were published by a leading lifestyle digital outlet. Can you guess which one? Well (drum roll), it was XO Necole!

XO Necole is an empowerment and lifestyle brand founded by former celebrity gossip blogger, Necole Kane. What I appreciate about Necole is that her entrepreneurial story is one of finding success in one area and making the pivot to find fulfillment. XO Necole is the product of Necole pursuing purpose.

In 2020, my purpose was for my work to be published in magazines. To achieve this, I would write and submit an article each week to various media outlets. The first essay I wrote was inspired by my own “hot girl” season and what I learned from it.

By December 2019, I wrote and submitted it to XO Necole. To be completely honest, I did not think it would be published. My fear was that my first article would go viral before people knew that I am more than sex. Nonetheless, I found that my article was published in late January 2020!

In this episode, I will share more behind the scenes details about the essay. I won’t spill the tea on how I learned the lessons, but I will explain why certain points were covered in it. By the end, my hope is that you prioritize your pleasure more than you had before.
